Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier name: Turas Nua
Publication date: 14/05/2026
Commitment to achieving net zero
Turas Nua is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions.
Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving net zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 27.90 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 15%.
Carbon reduction projects
Completed carbon reduction initiatives
Since the 2024 baseline, we have delivered a range of environmental management measures and carbon reduction projects.
Reported emissions increased slightly from 31.19 tCO2e in 2024 to 32.82 tCO2e in 2025, driven by Scope 3 emissions from waste and water and in relation to the opening of 3 additional offices.
Scope 2 emissions remain at 0.00 tCO2e because all electricity purchased for our operations is supplied under a 100% renewable energy contract.
The measures below remain in place and our main focus going forward is on further waste and water reduction.
- Established a baseline and annual tracking for Scope 2 electricity and relevant Scope 3 sources (waste and water) to support consistent year-on-year reporting.
- Published our first ESG report.
- Installed high-efficiency VRV IV+ (REYQ-U) heat pumps at the Turas Nua head office to reduce energy use and associated emissions.
- Implemented a sustainability strategy to guide actions that reduce our overall carbon emissions and environmental impact.
- Replaced paper-based customer feedback and training forms with digital online forms to reduce paper use.
- Provided staff with reusable coffee cups and promoted their use to cut single-use waste.
- Started replacing large plastic water containers with improved water infrastructure. Water pipes and coolers have been installed in the FRS Co-Op head office and 30 Turas Nua offices, which we estimate will eliminate
1,302 (19-litre) plastic water containers each year.
- Introduced reusable and/or biodegradable cup options at water coolers to phase out single-use plastic cups.
Future carbon reduction initiatives
Planned measures will focus on further waste and water reduction:
- Continue waste and water reduction actions, including supplier collaboration to reduce waste to landfill and the installation of water-saving devices where feasible.
- Monitor water uses at site level and target high-use locations.
Declaration and sign off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard13 and uses the appropriate government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.14
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements (where required), and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.15
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
