Recruitment today is about building resilient, inclusive workplaces that grow people as well as profits.  That’s where the role of a Social Recruitment and Training Partner comes in.

At Turas Nua, we support businesses across Ireland by connecting them with untapped talent — and giving that talent the training and support they need to succeed. It’s a model that works: for employers, for jobseekers, and for the communities we all live in.

So what exactly does a Social Recruitment and Training Partner do? And why should your business care?

Let’s break it down.

Why It Matters for Your Business

Hiring through a Social Recruitment and Training Partner helps individuals, but supports your business goals too.

Hit Your CSR and ESG Targets

Incorporating inclusive hiring and training into your workforce strategy supports your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.

Find Motivated, Work-Ready Staff

Our candidates are supported and job-ready. Many have completed targeted training programmes aligned to your sector’s needs — from basic digital skills to sector-specific certifications.

Reduce Turnover, Boost Retention

We don’t just place people. We walk alongside them — and you — during their first months in employment, helping troubleshoot issues early and reduce churn.

Train As You Hire

With our in-house FLEX Learning Platform, we offer fast, focused, and flexible learning experiences that can be tailored to your specific job roles, from onboarding support to upskilling new hires.

Create Meaningful Impact

Every placement through Turas Nua helps reduce social welfare dependency, increase community resilience, and support people who simply need a fair opportunity.

How It Works: A Simple, Supported Process

Here’s what working with a Social Recruitment and Training Partner looks like:

  1. We listen: We take the time to understand your hiring needs, challenges, and goals.
  2. We match: We introduce you to candidates who are ready to work and eager to contribute.
  3. We prepare: We provide any necessary training before start date, tailored to the role.
  4. We support: We stay in touch after placement, offering in-work supports for both the employee and your team.

Who We Support — and Who You Can Hire

Turas Nua supports people from all walks of life, including:

  • People with disabilities or long-term health conditions
  • Refugees and people with Temporary Protection
  • Migrants building new lives in Ireland
  • Long-term unemployed individuals
  • Young people entering the workforce
  • People returning after time away from work

These are high-potential candidates, and your next great hire.

At Turas Nua, everybody’s story matters.

Whether you’re growing your team or trying to make a positive difference through your business, we’re here to help you do both.

Just 32% of people with disabilities in Ireland are employed. Learn how Turas Nua supports employers to build inclusive workplaces and close the gap. October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to reflect on progress, but also on the challenges that remain. In Ireland, the disability employment gap is the widest in Europe. The European Disability Forum (2023 ) indicates that only 32% of people with disabilities are in work, compared to the EU average of 51%. People with disabilities are more than twice as likely to be unemployed as non-disabled peers. Inclusion is a social priority, but it’s also a national challenge.
