In a significant step to celebrate the essence of our culture and guiding principles, Turas Nua proudly introduced our Personal Achievement Awards – an initiative that shines a spotlight on the outstanding contributions of our team members.

The Philosophy of Recognition

These awards embody our commitment to an environment where every team member's contributions are recognised and celebrated. They mark a positive shift in our workplace culture, strengthening our sense of community and teamwork. By celebrating one another's accomplishments, we reinforce our collective purpose and the individual efforts that drive our progress.

Reflecting Our Principles

Each of our Personal Achievement Awards represents a unique aspect of the work our staff do every day. More than that, they reflect our guiding company principles:

Progress Is Our Purpose

  • Innovation Awards and Milestone Achievement Award: We celebrate the fresh ideas and the milestones that are the driving force behind our innovation and success, acknowledging the unsung heroes who move us closer to our collective goals.

People, Not Politics

  • Collaboration Excellence and Respect and Inclusion Award: Teamwork and inclusivity are the cornerstones of our success. These awards honour those who go the extra mile to foster a united and effective workplace, ensuring everyone feels valued and heard.

Individuals, Not Numbers

  • Outstanding Individual Contribution Award and Employee Growth and Development Award: These accolades go to individuals who exceed expectations and invest time and effort in helping others grow, embodying our belief in helping people help themselves.

Help People Help Themselves

  • Empowerment Award and Mentorship Excellence Award: We recognise those among us who inspire and guide, fostering a culture where each individual is empowered to achieve their full potential.

Impact of the Awards

The introduction of the awards has brought a wave of enthusiasm across the business, igniting conversations around the value of our daily interactions and the profound impact of mutual support. It has encouraged us to look out for those moments of excellence in our colleagues – whether it's through empowerment, mentorship, collaboration, respect, inclusion, or innovation.

Ownership of the Awards

We are also thrilled to emphasize that the heart of the Turas Nua Personal Achievement Awards lies in the hands of our staff. With an open nomination form, every team member has the opportunity to voice their recognition for their colleagues, sharing compelling reasons why they deserve these honours. This approach entrusts the true ownership of the awards to our people, ensuring that those who make our day-to-day operations a success are also the ones to celebrate and uplift each other.

We are excited to see the Personal Achievement Awards programme flourish and are grateful for the engagement and enthusiasm it has received. As we move forward, these awards will continue to be a testament to the talent and dedication that makes Turas Nua not just a workplace, but a place where everybody’s story matters.

Just 32% of people with disabilities in Ireland are employed. Learn how Turas Nua supports employers to build inclusive workplaces and close the gap. October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to reflect on progress, but also on the challenges that remain. In Ireland, the disability employment gap is the widest in Europe. The European Disability Forum (2023 ) indicates that only 32% of people with disabilities are in work, compared to the EU average of 51%.
