Give Back: Turas Nua's Annual Volunteer Day 2023

Sep 11, 2023

What is Give Back Day?

Turas Nua’s Give Back Day is an opportunity for the company to extend its impact directly into the community through various volunteering activities. It is an exceptional event on the Turas Nua calendar, bringing together all its offices from different locations for a day of giving, volunteering, and community engagement.

The power of Give Back Day lies in its ability to unite Turas Nua employees in making a positive impact in the lives of others – something we do as individuals every day. Turas Nua team members collaborate with local charities, non-profit organisations, and community groups to identify areas that require support.

Who did we support?

This year, staff supported organisations from right across the country:

By engaging with local causes like these, Turas Nua ensures that efforts directly benefit those in need. Whether it's organising food drives for local food banks, renovating community centres, undertaking sponsored walks, or engaging in hands-on (much-needed) outdoor work, the social impact is felt on a grassroots level.

Team Building

Beyond the positive impact on our communities, Give Back Day also fosters a strong sense of camaraderie among Turas Nua employees, and contributing to increased employee engagement. Experience with volunteering outside the usual office environment builds a unique bond and promotes teamwork. Colleagues from different departments and offices collaborate towards a shared goal – even when the weather isn’t great!

The Ripple Effect

The impact of Turas Nua’s Give Back Day extends far beyond the immediate communities served. Its secondary goal is to set an inspiring example for other companies, encouraging individuals to get involved in charitable endeavours, and promoting social responsibility. By sharing their experiences and stories, Turas Nua employees seek to inspire others to make a difference through community outreach, amplifying the ripple effect of the initiative.
